THE GRAND GOLF TOUR-Feb 6 to March 1 2008

The “Grand Golf Tour” begins. We start at Taupo and wander down country to Queenstown. It is match-play all the way; JT verses John. We have not played a lot of golf over the past couple of years, being busy with our business. Since the Living Channel and Food TV were sold (April 2007) we have renewed our love of the game and are now starting to see some improvement in form, scores and handicaps. John has reduced his handicap by three since December 07 and JT by one. So it’s all on!

On February 6th (New Zealand Day) we started our tour at Wairakei. We played on the Wednesday and the Thursday with John winning day one and JT day two. We both played very well on day one but found the wind a tough proposistion on day two and struggled to repeat the good form.

JT fired off the drive of the day (Thursday) on 16 to par the hole and take out the matchplay 3 and 2 over John. JT looking pleased with her great drive on 16 at Wairakei

John; happy? thrashed! (we never did find his ball after driving it right into the bush). However; another day, another game. Wairakei is a wonderful golf course and we will return.
